Neon Invaders II Brings One-Thumb Arcade Action to Google Play

Neon Invaders II feature graphic with three pixel-art alien invaders above a glowing player ship in deep space.
Neon Invaders II rebuilds the classic alien-invasion arcade loop for fast, one-thumb play on a portrait screen.

The grid is under attack. You have one ship, a cannon that never stops firing, and a sky full of glowing alien waves closing in.

SunMarc App Labs has released Neon Invaders II: Retro Arcade on Google Play—a fast, hand-built arcade shooter designed for one-thumb controls, short sessions, and the pull of one more high score.

Drag anywhere to move while your cannon fires automatically. There are no virtual sticks or separate buttons to cover the action, so the game stays playable one-handed on a commute, in a queue, or whenever there are two minutes to spare.

Endless waves that keep tightening the screen

Seven columns and five rows of invaders descend faster after every cleared formation. Their return fire grows more dangerous as the run continues, forcing quick movement without turning the controls into a fight of their own.

Every fifth wave introduces a capital-ship boss with an armoured hull, spread cannons, a health bar, and an aimed shot that follows the player across the screen.

Score greed meets survival

Chain eliminations without pausing and the score multiplier climbs to 5x. Maintaining the combo rewards aggressive positioning, but every attempt to extend it also creates another chance to get trapped.

Rapid Fire, Triple Shot, Shields, and Extra Lives drop from destroyed enemies. They fall quickly, turning every pickup into a choice between safety and a stronger run.

Retro arcade presentation, rebuilt for a phone

Neon Invaders II combines chunky pixel sprites with neon bloom, CRT scanlines, a deep-space vignette, chiptune effects, screen shake, and haptic feedback. The familiar shoot-'em-up rhythm is adapted for portrait play instead of being squeezed behind a virtual D-pad.

The game works offline, requires no account, and keeps high scores and settings on the device. There are no in-app purchases.

Free, with ads kept outside the active run

Neon Invaders II is supported by ads, with placement designed around natural breaks:

Players can review or change their ad privacy choices from the in-game Settings screen.

Defend the grid

Neon Invaders II is built around a direct arcade promise: drag, dodge, collect power-ups, break the boss, and push the score higher before the formation reaches the bottom.

The invaders are already descending. How long can you hold the line?
