SunMarc does not collect, store, sell, or share your audio, local event history, alert settings, or microphone data.
Data we collect
SunMarc does not ask you to create an account for Sound Scout and does not collect personal information directly through this app on SunMarc-operated servers.
Local processing and local data
- Audio is processed locally on your device. Sound Scout does not upload audio recordings to SunMarc servers.
- Sensitivity settings, alert preferences, test alert state, and Pro event history stay on your device.
- Local event history, when enabled, records detected alert events for your review on the device.
App permissions and device features
- Microphone access is used to monitor loudness levels locally while Scout Mode is active.
- Wake-screen, vibration, torch, and notification-style alert behavior may be used depending on the alert settings you choose.
- Billing is handled by Google Play if you choose the Pro unlock. SunMarc does not receive your payment card details.
Advertising, purchases, and third parties
Optional one-time Pro unlock through Google Play. No advertising is described in the current listing setup.
Google Play, Android, device manufacturers, billing providers, or other third-party services may process data under their own privacy policies and platform controls when their services are used.
Data sharing
SunMarc does not sell your personal data. SunMarc does not share app-created personal files, local history, local settings, or local gameplay/calculation data from Sound Scout with SunMarc servers.
Data retention and deletion
Because the app data described above is stored locally on your device, you can delete it by using in-app delete/clear controls where available, clearing the app data through Android settings, or uninstalling the app. Data processed by third-party services is controlled by those services and your platform settings.
Children
Sound Scout is not designed to collect personal information from children on SunMarc servers. If you believe a child has provided personal data to SunMarc, contact us so we can review the request.
Important notes
Sound Scout is an awareness aid. It is not an emergency service, medical device, hearing aid replacement, security system, or guaranteed sound detection system.
